Is it safe to put chloraseptic in my bong?

I have the flu with horrible aches and a sore throat, I feel like smoking will make me feel better, in regards to the aches. If I put chloraseptic throat numbing spray in the bong water, would that possibly make my throat feel better and cause the smoke to hurt less. Experience anyone?
