Can you take a bong on a flight exiting the UK flying to Egypt?

I want to take a bong/ water pipe (unused) with me to Egypt as they have some really nice flavored tobacco there. My bong is 53cm / 2ft so easily visible. Has anyone taken a bong abroad from the uk? And is it better to carry it on or put in my luggage?
