Was I illegally searched by police?

I was at a party on a private lake property. Police showed up and many people ran and a few were arrested. The police started towing vehicles. 2 hours later I was able to get mine between tow trucks dropping off a load where I found my vehicle unlocked and contents searched. My license, alcohol, and bong were organized on the seat (most likely too a photo). I am a minor but because i was not present at the time is the search of a parked (on private property) and locked vehicle illegal? Also, a wine bottle was in plain view. The car belongs to my father who has Virginia plates lives in Kentucky and I drive it in Massachusetts (father is military). He recently got rid of his house phone for a cell so, I doubt he'll receive a call from police. What's my best route out of trouble, did police perform any illegal procedures?
