How can I smoke weed in my house and not get caught?

okay, so i have a gram rolled up in a joint and i wanna smoke it, this is the first joint im smoking, EVER. i usually use a bowl, or pipe, or a water bottle bong, when i use these i just blow the smoke out my bathroom window. but i feel like that would be too uncomfortable with a joint, how can i smoke this thing without getting caught, going outside is out of the question cuz my parents hear everything
